I am currently recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager in the automated materials handling sector.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years sales experience in the materials handling sector where they would have been responsible for generating new business. You will be tasked to identify current and future projects whilst promoting the company brand. This position will be a home-based role with easy access to Derby where you will be required for sales update.
Responsibilities and Experience
Direct experience of selling within the Intralogistics Warehousing arena and/or automation related to or involved in high volume processing of goods, manufactured items, etc. Technical competence in conveyor technology and related automation. (We are not interested in someone who sells robots/robot cells at a low level or one-off islands of automation.) Wide network of contacts and customer knowledge of E-Commerce, Retail, Warehousing, Logistics and Conveyor applications. Strong hunter mentality and driven to generate leads and relationships. Someone who is purely technical sales and gets sucked into the detail engineering will lose bandwidth to generate more leads. Capacity and capability to travel extensively in the UK for direct sales activity, business development and/or networking, exhibitions, and trade events. Commercial aptitude and ability to understand turnkey projects and customised solutions.
