THE ROLE

As Sales Executive you will be undertaking a customer focused, desk and counter-based sales role, supporting the sales and order administration activities of a busy timber merchants, dealing with customers face to face at the counter, on the telephone and via email enquiries.

You will be a key point of contact for customers on the telephone or visiting in person, handling enquiries and the sales process from quotations through scheduling, despatch, delivery and all associated admin and delivery paperwork.

Working as part of a small, friendly and well-motivated team, you will provide sales and technical information and support to existing and potential customers.

Full on the job product and sales training will be provided.

Working Hours - Monday to Friday only.

THE COMPANY

Our client, is one of the largest and most innovative hardwood sawmills in the country, specialising in cutting and manufacturing British grown timbers. They process and sell and wide range of timber products to a client base including both trade and retail customers. As a family business, they believe in a long-term and ethical approach to business that involves nurturing people and supporting the natural environment.

THE PERSON

As Sales Executive you will be energetic and charismatic, with previous sales experience within a retail or trade environment dealing directly with members of the public. Most important are your sales and communication skills, computer literacy (sales, order and administration systems) and a strong customer service approach in order to spot and take advantage of sales & new business development opportunities with clients.

You will receive on the job product and sales training. Experience in the timber industry is not necessary, but having the right person in the role is.

Working Hours - Monday to Friday only.
