We re currently looking for a Safeguarding Manager to join us on a permanent, full-time basis working 35 hours per week.
The Role
As a Safeguarding Manager, you will provide daily management, accountability, oversight, guidance, and support to the Safeguarding Team and function.
Ensuring a quality service is delivered in line with legislation, regulators and commissioner requirements, you will embed quality assurance mechanisms and lead on projects in line with the People Directorate workplan.
Promoting a safe and supportive working environment, you will offer regular support and supervision to the Safeguarding Team, including reflective practice, and support their ongoing training and development.
Additionally, you will:
- Provide first line safeguarding and wellbeing support for clients, volunteers, and staff
- Act on any cases of immediate concern that may require internal escalation
- Provide relationship management internally and externally
- Design, deliver and review safeguarding training, learning and engagement opportunities
- Manage data collation, analysis and report writing
Working Hours
This is a permanent, full-time position working 35 hours per week.
What you ll need
- Experience of safeguarding case management best practice
- Experience of the design, delivery and impact assessment of safeguarding learning opportunities
- Experience developing and implementing quality assurance mechanisms
- Experience of Horizon scanning
- Knowledge of charity regulator safeguarding requirements
- Knowledge of project management techniques
- A full, valid driving licence
