My story
Rosie is a loving and loyal lady. She is highly motivated by treats and making her person happy. She is very trainable and listens to your every word. Rosie is house trained, crate trained. She doesn’t mind her crate and can also be trusted in the house when you’re away not to get into mischief.
She loves a good toy to chew on, her favorites are the ones that last a good while. Some treats and food she’s sensitive to, but staying true to her Purina dog food and proven treat options keeps her itchy flare ups at bay.
Favorite thing in the whole world? Rosie loves to sleep under the covers with her owners and wiggle her tail and whole body whenever you come into the room
Rosie can walk on a leash but can also pull when she sees something, so will benefit from some more training for walks.
She loves exploring a fenced yard and will makes sure all the bunnies and squirrels stay on alert.
Rosie does not like other dogs but will tolerate a smart cat (one that if she decides to give chase can get away).
Rosie can demonstrate bad manners when greeting and may be too much for kids under 10.
She has lived in a house with 3 older children (10+) her whole life with no issues.
Rosie loves people and has never been aggressive to any human - family or strangers (just sometimes over excitable, jumps, zoomies, etc)
Rosie does not like other dogs and can be dominant. Despite being adopted at the same time, she and her “sister” dog can no longer live together because they frequently scuffle and Rosie has some scars to show.
She has been well cared for each time and has no physical limitations or lingering health issues.
Her family is heartbroken to part with her but finding her a single pet home is the best place for her safety and to thrive. Rosie very much wants to be someone’s companion for many years.
Rosie is a Terrier/Pitbull/Basset Hound. She has the low-rider build with big basset paws. She was born approximately 1-1-20 and weighs 60 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given heartworm preventative as well as flea and tick preventative. Adoption fee is $150.
