Role: Rolling Mill Setter Operator

Hours of work: 07 00 Monday Thursday / 07 30 Friday

Salary: GBP28,500 Per Annum

Mainstay Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Rolling Mill Setter Operator on behalf of one of the UKS leading cold roll forming specialists to join their growing team. As a Rolling Mill setter, you will be required to set and operate cold roll forming mills to form complex profiles for various sectors.

Duties of the role

Operate rolling mills and assist with coil changes and mill changeovers. Troubleshoot any quality, set up or speed issues arising from rolls, tools or material on existing or new sections and offer feedback and resolution as it becomes part of the daily operating process. Maintain awareness and ensure full compliance with Health and Safety legislation, housekeeping standards and Company rules and procedures. Achieve daily targets to meet customer demand by ensuring machines are working to the optimal efficiency and target speeds are constantly maintained. Follow verbal or written instructions and work to set out procedures. Seek continuous improvement.

Candidate Requirements:

Previous experience of setting and operating Rolling mills Be capable of working to tight tolerances Good timekeeping and attendance Flexible with working a night shift when required Manufacturing experience in a production environment Have knowledge of rolling special profiles for safety critical products
