Risk AnalystUtilitiesHybrid: 3 days per week in Wokingham6 monthsGBP450 - GBP550 per day

In short:

The Risk Analyst will perform risk assessments across our whole list of resource identifying who should have specific security clearance. Alongside this you will create and update a new risk register. The framework you will use is the: Common Role Based Risk Assessment. Once your assessments are complete, you will then hand over your findings to a Personnel Security Analyst (Per Sec) who will begin the vetting process. This is a great role for a risk-minded person who can be open to working with a new framework that is purpose-built for resource vetting.

In full:

Role Purpose: As our Personnel & Physical Security Analyst, you'll play an important role in the delivery of personnel security and National Security Vetting across our business. You'll undertake risk assessments and collate and verify information to maintain our personnel risk matrix ensuring information is gathered promptly as our new business grows. You'll be the first point of contact for applicants undergoing NSV vetting and will liaise with Government departments providing clear communication and information flow throughout the vetting application lifecycle.

You will work across all levels of the organisation providing a risk-based approach to personnel security. You'll maintain effective quality control and audit systems documenting NSV roles making sure all information is documented and appropriately retained. You'll need an appreciation of how this works, although we can teach you the details.

You'll be part of a new security team, so you'll have the opportunity to develop existing processes to meet the needs of the new business. You'll have freedom to streamline and automate existing processes, so it is essential we recruit someone like you who is both analytical with advanced MS office skills.

In addition to NSV vetting you will also support Adverse Background Checking meetings with our HR and Legal Team colleagues when required from Pre-Employment Screening activities. You will also assess and escalate Exception Risk Assessment (ERA) cases where policy dispensation requests are made.

Of course, bringing all this information together requires a strong analytical mind and the ability to condense information into translatable format. Experience of producing impactful MI reports would be a definite advantage. It would be beneficial if you are experienced with Microsoft Forms and Microsoft Power Automate.

You'll have to be structured and considered in your approach, and happy communicating and building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
