Deichmann Shoes have an exciting opportunity to join our growing business, working as a Retail Supervisor, at our brand new store, opening soon in Belfast.

Working as a retail supervisor in our Belfast store, you will be offered a competitive hourly rate of up to GBP11.62 per hour + non contractual performance related bonuses.

This is a part time position, and we have 25 hour and 30 hour contracts available.

TRAINING WILL BE TAKING PLACE IN ENGLAND - AHEAD OF THE STORE OPENING. EXPENSES WILL BE PAID.

Ideal candidate:

You should have previous retail experience and will have ideally worked as a supervisor previously (or at an equivalent level - for example a store team leader / department manager). We are looking for positive and enthusiastic individuals to lead the store team ensuring high store standards are consistently met, whilst providing a welcoming shopping experience to our customers. If you are a driven individual looking for an exciting new challenge within retail - then Deichmann is the place for you! Key activities:

Lead and supervise the store team in the absence of the Store Manager. Open & close the store, including cashing up and completion of associated administrative duties. Offer excellent levels of customer service and have a strong product knowledge. Lead by example, successfully promoting and recommending complimentary shoe care products and offering ad hoc training and support to team members as and when required, ensuring first class levels of customer service. Ensure that the store is correctly merchandised, product displays are refreshed and inviting to the customer. Process stock deliveries and store transfers. Champion and support the achievement of monthly targets. Deal with customer queries and complaints.

Personal characteristics:

Self- motivated and have a positive, can do attitude towards completion of work. Confidence and ability to supervise, motivate, coach and work with a team. Well organised and have a structured approach to work. Customer and operations / task orientated. Good communicator. Attention to detail. Able to work at pace and under pressure. Ideally have previous supervisory experience including cashing up and banking. Fully flexible (Monday Sunday, hours to be agreed by rota) including evenings and bank holidays.
