I am recruiting for a local authority who is seeking a Resettlement Worker to join the team and contribute to creating stable and supportive living environments for those undergoing resettlement.

Job Role

As a Housing Resettlement Worker, you will play a pivotal role in assisting individuals and families in their transition to stable and secure housing. This position involves working closely with clients to assess their housing needs, providing guidance and advocacy, and collaborating with community partners to ensure a successful resettlement experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Housing Assessment and Planning:

Conduct thorough assessments of clients' housing needs and preferences.

Develop and implement personalized resettlement plans, with a focus on securing safe and affordable housing options.

Case Management:

Maintain detailed and accurate client records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with organizational standards.

Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to address housing-related challenges and provide comprehensive support.

Tenant Advocacy:

Advocate on behalf of clients to secure and maintain stable housing, addressing issues such as landlord relations, lease agreements, and housing subsidies.

Provide guidance on tenants' rights and responsibilities.

Resource Coordination:

Connect clients with relevant community resources, including financial assistance programs, legal services, and support networks.

Facilitate access to educational and vocational training opportunities.

Community Engagement:

Build positive relationships with landlords and property managers to expand housing options for resettling individuals and families.

Organize community workshops and events to promote housing stability and integration.
