FINTEC recruit currently hiring for a position at a global energy/engineering company and are looking for a Resporting Accountant with expertise in technical accounting and financial statutory reporting to support both internal and external audits.

This is a permanent opportunity located in Aberdeenshire, offering a competitive salary circa GBP50,000+, dependent on your experience, along with various benefits. Additionally, we provide flexible and hybrid work arrangements to suit your preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for the preparation and oversight of statutory accounts and audit reporting across the organization. Prepare audit documentation and collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth audit process, including legal and tax aspects. Act as the primary point of contact during audit periods and manage compliance reporting. Generate analytical reviews for income statements and balance sheets. The Reporting Accountant will assist in direct tax compliance and coordinate with tax advisers. Ensure balance sheet substantiation and key controls to support financial planning through financial modeling. Contribute to the production of statutory accounts for the entire group. Qualifications and Experience Required for the Reporting Accountant Role:

A qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA) with post-qualification experience. Proficiency in IT systems, including advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, vlookups, nested formulas). Strong technical accounting knowledge, including FRS102 and IFRS. Willingness to participate in the development of new processes and procedures.
