Description

We own and manage c.7,500 homes in the east of England, working closely with other agencies and stakeholders within our communities. Here at Havebury Housing Partnership we are looking for an experienced Repairs Team Leader (12 month FTC) to join our well established Repairs Team. As the Repairs Team Leader you will lead a team of technicians, who deliver repairs services to our residents and leaseholders. You will provide leadership and guidance, monitoring activities on site to ensure efficient and effective outcomes.

You will be responsible for managing the repairs and maintenance service and assisting the Management to deliver improved performance.

This role will require you to be in the office for 3 days per week.

To provide site supervision and where required management and technical advice to technicians, monitoring performance, progress of works against programs, carrying out pre and post quality inspections of work as required Contribute to and deliver operational plans so that the repairs, adaptations and voids service is delivered in a cost-effective way which meets Havebury service standards and procedures and policies. Show initiative to improve processes where these are identified Manage the repairs and new installation budgets, with a demonstrable knowledge of 'value for money' and its application. To lead and support technicians in terms of recruitment, training, complaints, disciplinaries and performance, including the effective management of 121's of direct reports To provide onsite first line technical support to the workforce, actively participating in on site activities where required To assist with the discharge of various regulations issued by the Health and Safety Executive and other regulatory bodies, as well as our own policies. Full UK Driving LicenceExperience in the management of business processes and supervisory or line management experienceExperience of onsite property repairs and maintenance, as well as reactive and planned preventative maintenance in the social housing sectorThe ability to interpret legislation and resolve and implement complex issues and procedures with minimal direct supervisionAwareness and understanding of asbestos management legislationSuccessful complex problem solving, and able to support the wider Benefits
