Allied Universal are now recruiting for an exciting and challenging position as Area Security Officer, primarily supporting the Security Control room team based in Cambridge.

As an Area Security Officer for Allied Universal, you will be more than a Security Officer, you will be a key part of our team covering a range of sites within the Cambridge area. You will ensure the safety of our customers staff, their buildings, and assets, whilst providing excellent customer service. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service in a safe and secure environment.

The rate of pay is GBP12.50 per hour.

This is a zero hour contract and you will be based at your primary site at FIS Cambridge but you will have the opportunity to work at numerous other Allied Universal and G4S sites in the Cambridge area.

Your Time at Work

When covering your core site in Cambridge, your main duties will include:

Operating and responding to all aspects of the Control Room Operation, with the focus on Access Control and CCTV at multiple locations within EMEA.

Throughout the shift the Operator will manage accurately, the reporting of incidents and faults and escalate appropriately.

You will need to be energetic and enthusiastic, be flexible and highly disciplined with communication skills being the key to being successful in this role.

We are looking for candidates to have excellent IT skills and proven report writing skills and must be committed to punctuality, honesty, respecting your colleagues and be able to work independently and within a Team Environment.

The operator will also be expected to manage emails and any other admin duties within the GSOC.

A knowledge of Access Control and CCTV is desirable but not essential as a structured training package will be provided.

The successful candidate will need to pass the Clients vetting procedure which will require a 10-year employment and educational history.
