Role: Reliability Technician (Multiskilled)Hours: 38.75 hours per weekSalary: GBPCompetitive + BenefitsLocation: BirminghamOur client, an international leading manufacturing company based in Birmingham, is recruiting an experienced Reliability Technician to join their team during an exciting period of growth within the business. As a Reliability Technician, you will assist the Site Reliability Manager on all Site Reliability Programs ensuring that all preventative, predictive, and proactive maintenance strategies are tailored to the company's requirements. You will also ensure that the company is pushing the best practice in all aspects of modern maintenance techniques, using forward-thinking strategic planning to keep the site on the forefront of uptime performance assisting with the development of all reliability team members.A big part of the role also involves training the engineering team on reliability tools and techniques whilst driving the best practices within the engineering stores and procurements. Responsibilities:- Ensure all Health and safety always come first with clear Risk Assessments applied to all maintenance tasks.- Work with the Reliability team to develop projects to assist with securing financialapprovals, resource commitment, facilities, and equipment.- Create clear statistical PMs with visual standards to address failure modes.- Carry out Gap Analysis on each asset to identify missing critical spares and align to BOM.- Identify obsolete parts and find equivalents, link to BOM.- Plan both shut and un-shut work ensuring that all necessary parts and resources are available so that the task can be completed in the most efficient manner (4M's Man MethodMaterial Machine).- Work closely with the Maintenance team to ensure effective communication and supportconcerning the program goals and objectives.- Work closely with the Opex Leader to provide support and guidance to the operational- Team and Area Owners concerning the performance and adherence of new businessprocess and practices.- Monitor SSK analytical tools (PI, SKF VA) to provide reports to prevent predict breakdownsTo use analytical techniques to determine route causes and frequency of failure.- Management of on/off-site equipment (Rolls, Rotors, Motors, etc).- In the event of machine failure, use process knowledge, skill, and documented procedures to ensure work is carried out in a safe and controlled manner.- Participates in basic FMEA analysis (Critical list).- Develop reaction plans in conjunction with FMEA.- Develop business reliability process tasks with clear roles and responsibilities. - Participates in Asset Prioritization consequence grid development and asset prioritisation sessions (Through analysis). - Analyse weekly downtime reports and create Pareto's to identify high risks includingrepeatable issues weekly.The Ideal Candidate:- Degree or HNC in Engineering with a Mechanical focus or similar.- Previous experience working within a similar position.- The ability to implement and maintain preventative, predictive, and proactive maintenance strategies on large-scale projects and sites.- Worked in a process industry.- Strong Health and Safety knowledge.- Proven experience in managing, planning, and maintaining shuts with up to 250 contractors per day. - Worked with systems such as SAP and other planning tools to aid the planning process.- Proven experience implementing change and delivering.At KHR we take care to ensure that you are represented as well as possible so it is worth checking your CV for layout, spelling and grammar as well as making sure it is up to date before you submit.
