Part-Time Registered Nurse

Our client offers short term care for people recovering from illness, surgery and for people in need of respite care. The Home can offer care for up to 30 people and now we are looking for a new Part-Time Registered Nurse for weekend and holiday cover.

Our client is looking for someone with a professional, positive attitude, enthusiastic in their outlook and self-motivated, you should be able to work well as part of a team but equally confident to work on your own you will provide a high standard of care to all post-operative / respite / short term patients.

What will you be doing?

• Recording patients vital signs and medical information

• Monitoring patients, record and reporting symptoms or changes in their conditions to provide the most suitable care and advice

• Performing routine procedures such as administering non-intravenous medications, taking blood pressure measurements, taking blood and completing patients charts

• Administering medications to patients, monitoring them for potential reactions or side effects and reporting to the physician

• Creating and maintaining accurate, comprehensive healthcare records and reports of patients

• Working with physicians and other health professionals to create personalised treatment plans for patients

What will you need?

• Proven experience as an Adult Nurse or Registered Nurse

• Experience required with post-operative care

• Outstanding knowledge of nursing care procedures and methods

• Excellent understanding of health and safety protocols, including decontamination and sanitation

• Patient, compassionate and empathetic nature

• Knowledge of emergency care

• Ability to lead and work well as part of a team

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Valid nursing licence

Salary: GBP19.22 p/h (plus 25% enhancement for weekends)

Hours: Part Time; For Saturday Night Duty and holiday cover 9.30pm-8.30am
