JOB TITLE: Children s Home Registered Manager
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Operations Manager/ RI and Directors
LOCATION: Milton Keynes MK6
LIAISES WITH: Senior Management Team, Education Staff, Care Staff, and all team members in this and other teams across the organisation, young people, families/carers, external providers, partnership organisations, local residents and regulatory bodies.
Job Summary
To work with the Senior Management Team to promote the values and ethos of Changing Lives Care Group LTD in the management of all aspects of the Children s Home, taking responsibility for the implementation of all young people s placements to support their emotional and mental wellbeing. To take the lead in the development, implementation, monitoring and review of standards across the home, ensuring exceptional levels of care for all young people and ongoing compliance with regulatory frameworks. To establish and maintain a competent, motivated and confident staff team, providing supervision and development of the residential care staff. To be the responsible person for managing child protection concerns, complaints and health and safety in order to ensure that the needs of all young people are met.
The post holder will be the Registered Manager for the Children s Home as specified in the Children s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and they will be responsible for managing all aspects of running the Home. The Home will provide assessment and medium to long-term placements for young people with emotional and behavioral needs. Therefore, the Registered Manager will be required to oversee the placements, working with internal care staff, healthcare professionals (e.g. psychologists and occupation therapists) and educational staff, as well as external partner agencies to achieve the needs and targets of the individual young people.
Person Specification:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Social Care services (or organized equivalent)Minimum of five years residential experience within the children s home sectorMinimum if two years management experience in the children s home sectorExperience in applying policies and procedures relating to he care of young people abd the management of servicesExperience of current Ofsted inspection FrameworkInter-agency working
