My client a well-known care home provider that has over 62 residential homes and a number of day care centres in the UK has an opportunity to join the organisation as a Regional Facilities Manager.
As a Regional Facilities you would be responsible for the upkeep of 10 -13 homes in Essex, ensuring that maintenance and repairs are carried out to the correct standards whilst complying with job related policies and regulations including health and safety.
You would also be responsible for all maintenance staff that are employed directly as well as the management of any contractors that are needed.
The postholder would also need to carry out interviews of potential maintenance staff as needed and then work through a period of induction with appointed applicants.
The position can be hands on at times and may require the postholder to carry out some basic maintenance if required (i.e in the absence of staff)
In the very rare occasion, you may be required to be called out should such emergency occur
The position would involve travel all over Essex and so it is essential that you have a driving licence.
Ideally (but not essential) NEBOSH or IOSH certified.
A good understanding of COSHH
Salary up to 40K + Car or Car allowance
