Job Title: Recruitment Officer

Location: MK44/ Bedford - Opportunity to work from home once training is completed for 1 to 2 days per week.

Pay rate: 12.86 per hour

Hours: 37.5 Monday to Friday

Start date: Available immediately

Length of contract: 6 months fixed term (potential to become permanent for the right candidate)

GI Group Recruitment are now recruiting for a Recruitment Officer in the Bedford area for our NHS client. This role is to support the existing recruitment team by carrying out pre-employment checks for employees who are new to the organisation, among other duties. This is an opportunity to join an established and dedicated team and be a part of our wonderful NHS workforce.

What will I be doing as a Recruitment Officer?

The end-to-end processing of vacancies within allocated portfolio.Completing all pre-employment checks in accordance with employment legislation, NHS check standards and Trust policies.Conducting one to one meetings with successful candidates to ensure all pre-employment checks are carried out and recorded accurately, including Right to Work and Disclosure and Barring checks.Working closely with Recruitment Administrators with regards to maintaining best practice for vacancy management.Pro-actively reviewing, updating and chasing outstanding pre-employment checks.Maintaining clear communication with managers, applicants and team members with regards to the status updates of pre-employment checks and rationale for delays in processing.Regularly reviewing time to hire in conjunction with Recruitment Coordinators with a view to identifying areas of improvement and escalate areas of concern.

What are we looking for in our successful applicant?

Level 3 CIPD or equivalent experience working in a Recruitment.Accurate keyboard skills and the ability to create effective documents.Highly competent in computer literacy including Microsoft Packages.Ability to liaise effectively with staff and managers at all levels of an organisation.Great telephone manner.The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload to match management objectives.
