We are looking for a receptionist to join a brand-new Eating Disorder Service in Midhurst, West Sussex. The service will have 12 beds for young adults between the ages of 18-25 years.
It is anticipated that the service will open early 2024 however we are appointing to key roles now to enable successful candidates to participate in shaping and setting up the service.
The Role will provide administrative support to the Hospital Director, including typing, telephone enquiries, diary management, management of clinical records and other administrative tasks as appropriate.
Your responsibilities will include:
Receiving all telephone calls and transferring the same without delay, taking messages as appropriate, considering confidentiality and information governance.Ensuring that all visitors visiting young people are on the list of approved visitors. Liaising with clinical team as appropriate.Ensuring visitors are dealt with in a professional, positive manner at all times.Dealing with queries from visitors on a day-to-day basis.Ensuring security of the hospital is not compromised with visitors.Providing a high-quality customer focused service and ensure that a high standard of customer care is provided at all times.Being a central point of contact, liaise as appropriate in case of fire alarm, medical emergencies and first aid calls.Supporting administration team in daily duties including typing and admin duties.Maintaining visitor waiting areas and visiting areas to a high standard.Ensure a robust room booking system is in place and co-ordinate room bookings. To be a Successful Receptionist you will need:
Good knowledge and use of the English language including grammar, spelling and punctuation.Experience of working within a reception environment.Excellent customer care skills.Basic IT and typing skills.Knowledge and experience of working in a mental health setting is desirable.An understanding of medical terminology is desirable.
