Capital Markets Manager - Real Estate Debt

GBP85,000 - GBP110,000 p.a. (depending on experience) + bonus

A private equity backed multi-let industrial property company is looking for a Capital Markets Manager.

The company owns and operates a diversified portfolio of purpose built multi-let industrial properties across Europe and manages c110 industrial estates with over 2,000 tenancies. Following its recent buyout by a leading US private equity firm, the business has significant growth ambitions along with capital available to invest in rapidly increasing the size of its portfolio.

The successful candidate will work in the debt team, reporting to the Head of Capital Markets . The role will focus on the delivery of new debt to support business growth together with the management of existing debt facilities.

You will work closely with senior management and key stakeholders from across the business, as well as investors and lenders. The role will also work closely with the Finance, Asset Management and the Investment Team as well as directly with the Capital Markets Team.

Responsibilities

Work with the Head of Capital Markets and private equity shareholders to structure and execute the business financing strategy, producing funding plans on a short and long-term basisManage the preparation and presentation, to senior management and shareholders, of materials and cashflows to support new debt/refinancingsAssist in the negotiation of loan documentation to ensure the business has the flexibility to deliver its business planLead and coordinate due-diligence with lendersManage the relationship lenders and partner internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of loansWork closely with the finance team to manage overall liquidity and drawdownsManage bank reporting and compliance, ensuring it is delivered in a timely and accurate manner Skills and experience required:

Demonstrable track record in the real estate debt financing spaceDetailed experience of large scale bank facilities; debt; structured finance; and capital marketsWell networked within the UK real estate lending spaceExperience working in a bank or private equity backed company an advantageDemonstrable ability to write credit reports to lenders / investorsExcellent communication skills with ability to interpret and explain financial information to senior stakeholdersFamiliarity and comfort working with loan documentationA strong work ethic and tenacity to get the job done in a timely manner and to a high standard
