As a Radiological Safety Assessor, the need is for you to provide your support to the design team across a range of projects within the spent fuel management value steam. You will provide support to optioneering studies.You will be leading HAZOPs (typically HAZOP 0/1)Provide the development of hazard management strategies for a range of options.Production of safety case summaries/ confidence statements as required.Engagement with regulatorsDeveloping effective engagement relationships with key stakeholders including: Other Specialist assessment teamsSafety case managerProject managersResponsible design and system engineersOperations teams Qualifications and Key Skills
You will need significant experience as a safety assessor.You will need the ability to access highly regulated and secure areas on plant for surveys, if requiredExperience of support to projects in early stages (feasibility/ appraise and select)Experience of regulator engagementYou will need to be willing and have the ability to attain a high level of security clearance.
