This lovely vintage mug is one of the more rare designs made to mark the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth thus collectible. It is believed to be made by the Hornsea Pottery.

It is of ceramic construction thus strong and sturdy. It is glossy dark blue with silver pattern and writing. It has a picture opposite the handle showing the image designed to commemorate the anniversary and writing on both sides. One describes the occasion the mug was made to commemorate and the other says Queen Elizabeth with the anniversary years. It has a border of crowns around the circumference of both the top and base.

It would be a welcome addition to any mantlepiece or display unit. It would be appreciated by any collector of either Royal memorabilia or commemorative mugs. It could be a great gift for upcoming Valentine's Day, Easter or any birthday or anniversary.
