Quality Engineer (AS9100)

Salary: Up to 38,000 - 40,000 per annum

Hours: 8am - 5pm (flexible hours & some remote working)

We at Syntech Recruitment are pleased to offer an opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join a highly regarded engineering business based near Twyford, Berkshire.

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for working in all areas of the business to assess quality requirements and ensure all products are free from defects and in compliance with engineering and manufacturing specifications and ISO standards. You will work to resolve any quality issues and provide guidance on process enhancements and improvements.

AS9100 EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE - OUR CLIENT IS ON THE HUNT FOR AS9100 SO THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL NEED PLENTY OF AS9100 EXPERIENCE.

Quality Engineer Duties:

Primary function - Production Quality AssuranceParticipation in Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety projects.Participant of annual strategic KPI's FTT, Zero Defects.Internal & External complaints (NCR's & 8D's)Internal Auditor for Environmental/Quality Management System - ISO9001/AS9100Continuous Improvement and 5S projectsAPQP - PPAP knowledge for OEM project deliverablesParticipation of supplier audits for outsourced components.Alignment with key customers to facilitate problem resolution & continuous improvement.Conduct of all activity in accordance with company health, safety, environmental and employment policies.Technical training & Toolbox talks.

Quality Engineer Profile:

Must have strong experience with AS9100Minimum 3 years within an engineering/manufacturing environment.Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.Prior experience knowledge of health, safety and environmental systems, standards, and legislation.Supplier auditing experienceIOSH/NEBOSH TrainingDegree qualified in a relevant discipline desirableUnderstanding of ISO9001 / 14001 to the latest 2015 standardInternal auditor for ISO9001 and AS9100Prior experience of quality leadership within a precision machining / manufacturing environment supplying to automotive / aerospace sectors.
