ROLE SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Plant Quality Manager, this role supports the quality vision and strategy for my client. The QA will work with MissionOps, Global Supply Chain Sourcing, Engineering and other internal functions. The focus will be on plant compliance testing and inspection to support the efficient day to day operations of the plant.
These strategies will ensure our clients ability to meet its plants demand plans and therefore our customers' evolving expectations. The role holder will follow global standards, processes and tools to ensure the consistent quality of products throughout their lifecycle, including enabling effective resolution of inquiries related to supplied parts quality
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Product Testing
Working closely with Goods–In Inspection to create detailed, comprehensive and well–structed test plans Validate technical requirements and voice potential improvements to the internal processes, considering the quality of the productAnalyse and solve technical testing concernsAdvise senior team associates, from a QA perspectiveRoutine testing of production components in the form of batch conformance testingAssisting test engineer with system / product tests where necessary, including installation of sample assembliesMaintenance & effective housekeeping of test areas and related equipment, including calibration; organizing appropriate repairs where necessaryAssisting with development / engineering by testing products to relevant product regulations / standards Data Analysis / Presentation
Analyse data to look for trends & identify key focus areas for improvements.Collaborates with the company's counterparts across our regions.Create presentation slides and present quality performance to the SLT monthly.Create presentation slides to present to the plant manager on Quality performance and improvements weekly.Continuous ImprovementWork on continuous improvement projects and teams (VA/VE, Kaizen, VSM)Lead Problem Solving meetings with other Departments.Raise RFEA's to drive change, product improvements and process improvements throughout the business.Personal Development & Training.Create QIS sheets for toolbox talks.Perform weekly line Gemba's on iAuditor.Carry out internal systems audits. (ISO9001 style)Support external Supplier auditing. Goods–In Inspection & Approvals
Goods–In Inspection report functionally to the warehouse manager however inspection requirements and inspection queries require control by the QAThe Parts Approvals Process is carried out by the QA. The QA is responsible for making sure approvals are carried out in a timely fashion.When consultation as required with the product engineering to maintain and manage the Inspection Sheets.Local SPAP support REQUIRED SKILLS:
Manufacturing background essential.Knowledge and experience with Lean and problem–solving tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa Diagrams,Poka Yoke, FMEA, Kaizen, 6s, SPC & Six Sigma.Willing to spend majority of time on shop floor.Confident and assertive.Champion product quality.Look at the process', data analysis and key trends to improve product quality.Excellent eye for detail.Strong communication skills.
