A highly successful engineering company located in central Medway is recruiting a Quality Engineer on a permanent basis working Monday-Friday 09.00-17.00
Working in the R&D and Quality department you will coordinate all activities required to direct and control manufacturing quality.
In particular to review product quality requirements for individual clients and projects, to ensure those requirements are understood and implemented to manage the quality of manufactured items to meet the requirements of the customer specifications.
Your duties will include:
Assisting with newly developed products including producing manuals, assembly drawings and instructions for new and existing products.Action requests for changes to existing designs in conjunction with the R&D and layout departmentsLead the design and maintenance of the quality management system (QMS) to ISO 9001 and ensure the proper implementation of all proceduresTake ownership and accountability, while driving continuous improvement of the quality programme and culture Manage all aspects of daily quality inspection duties Ensure all customer concerns are dealt with in a proper and efficient manner Review new standards and procedures to ensure quality compliance Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staffSetting up and maintaining controls and documentation proceduresMonitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reportsLead / Internal auditing on the organisation's procedures. Skills and Abilities
ISO 9001 Experience (Lead Auditor preferred)Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in an Engineering environment.Excellent attention to detail and accuracyPositive, friendly and driven attitudeExcellent communication skills with the ability to interact and motivate / influence peoplePrevious experience or knowledge of weldingProficient in Solidworks, preferably with sheet metal experience.Excellent critical thinking skillsExperience in production of professional engineering documentation Education/Qualifications
Internal Auditing ExperienceProficient IT skillsEducated to GCE/GCSE (A- C grades, which must include Maths and English) or equivalentDegree in Quality management in advantageous
