Description

Our specialist engineering clients based near Havant, have an exciting opportunity for a QHSE Manager to join their grow their growing team! The QHSE Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the organization's quality assurance, health and safety, and environmental management programs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in QHSE practices, regulations, and standards, along with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop our QMS (ISO9001:2015 compliant) making it accurate, accessible and a tool to support the business

• To implement and maintain any other relevant accreditations

• Oversight of Customer Product Quality Questionnaires & Inspection Test Plans

• Oversight of calibrated equipment maintenance

• Drive the use of data collection & root cause analysis to produce information leading to improvements in operational processes

• Identify, or deliver, training and coaching to employees across the organisation

• Take ownership of change initiatives from conception through to implementation

• Develop and imbed visual management systems

• Improve customer satisfaction particularly with respect to delivery, quality & cost

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve the organization's QHSE management systems, policies, and procedures in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

• Lead incident and near-miss investigations, ensuring that root causes are identified, corrective actions are taken, and lessons learned are communicated throughout the organization.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that quality standards are met throughout the product lifecycle, from design and manufacturing to delivery and customer support.

• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with QHSE regulations and internal standards. Provide guidance and support to address any non-compliance issues.

• Analyse QHSE data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Generate reports for management review and develop action plans accordingly.

• Engage with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, customers, suppliers, and auditors, to ensure effective communication and alignment on QHSE matters.

Ideal skills & experience:

• Experience of electro-mechanical production environments

• Experience of managing ISO9001:2015 & external audits

• Experience of coaching, mentoring and training
