We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Operative to join a well known established business in Beverley. Our client is looking for an experienced QC to join the team, who has great attention to detail, a friendly attitude and has a strong team ethic.
What the role entails:
QC Operative will report directly to the Quality Manager.
QC Operative's role involves rotating between Day Shift QC duties at our Fillers and
Solvents sites, Late Shift QC duties at our Fillers site and Day Shift Packing Line duties at our Fillers or Solvents sites.
The Quality Manager will agree with the QC Operatives the period of time that will be
spent in each role before rotating to the next.
QC Operative carrying out Packing Line duties will provide cover for the Day Shift or
Late Shift QC duties in the event of sickness or holiday.
The Quality Manager will coordinate the cover that is required.
Duties of the role:
Checking weights and quantities of products to ensure that the Company's products meet all required weights and measures legislation.
Ensuring that all blended and filled products meet the required specifications.
Ensuring that retained samples are kept.
Ensuring that trace ability of products is maintained at all times.
Checking incoming raw materials
Ensuring all QC records and results are properly recorded, controlled and maintained.
Ensuring that Production Supervision / the Technical Manager are informed whenever
doubts concerning product quality occur.
Packing Line Duties:
Operating production machinery in a safe and efficient manner as per the relevant
procedural / safety requirements.
Ensuring that the correct type and quantity of components are assembled for each works order as per the BOM requirements.
Ensuring all required Quality Checks are carried out and that the filled products meet all of the required specifications.
Ensuring that all finished goods are correctly stacked on the pallets as per the pallet
configuration shown on the works order.
On completion of the works order, ensuring that all surplus components not used are
wrapped to prevent contamination and returned to their storage areas.
Ensuring that Production Supervision are informed whenever doubts concerning the
quality of a filled product or component occur.
The above list of duties is not exhaustive and may be subject to change dependant on the needs of our client, the Quality Manager will communicate any such changes in advance of their implementation.

Ideal qualifications for the role:
Previous manufacturing experience is preferred, but full training will be provided
Salary and Working Patterns:
Pay starts at 11.75 per hour whilst Grade 1, this can increase to 12.33 per hour at Grade 2.
Day Shift - Monday to Thursday 7am-4:15pm, Friday 7am-11:15am.
Night Shift - Monday to Thursday 4pm-2am.
Once training has been completed there will be an expectation to work on a Day/Night shift rotation, although this will likely be after 6 months.
