Jackson Hogg is delighted to be partnered with a growing manufacturing organisation based in Newcastle Upon Tyne on the appointment of a Purchasing Manager.
Joining a closely-knit and well-established team of three, the Purchasing Manager will be responsible for the full end to end Supply Chain process including Procurement, Planning, Inventory Control and Logistics ensuring that the full supply chain operates smoothly, fufilling the demands of international customers.
As Purchasing Manager you will be setting and measuring weekly KPIs, shaping and executing global sourcing strategies (predominantly within Asia and Europe) and building and managing (old and new) international supplier and stakeholder relationships.
Desired skills and experience:
Proven success within a people leadership or management supply chain position Experience within a procurement position covering both operational and strategic activities Ideally experience and knowledge of sourcing raw materials, metals, engineered and/or fabricated components Strong knowledge of inventory management and inventory control processes Excellent Excel skills (Dynamics 365 experience advantageous) Ability to work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment About the Company
