They import high quality products from all over the world and distribute to some of the leading brands across UK, Ireland, Europe & North America. RoleThey are looking for a Purchasing Manager to join their ever growing team and support the Purchasing & Procurement director where you will be responsible for the sourcing and purchasing of all raw materials for the Company.Main Duties and Responsibilities Full responsibility of Purchasing of all raw materials for the Company for all applications and potentially over 300 different products covering all categories. Negotiation of Contracts including pricing, payment terms, call off periods and quantity. Ensure at least 3 different suppliers are contacted for prices for every product purchased. Source new suppliers for new products requested by sales personnel from global manufacturers. Manage stock levels Develop and maintain pricing database to identify product price trends and market trends for new products. Chair weekly meetings with sales personnel and Procurement Director to share information on suppliers, pricing, new suppliers, new products. Carry out Audits on potential new suppliers on a global basis and visit suppliers both new and established. Introduce the Company to new potential suppliers via power point presentation. Hold weekly meetings with sales staff to understand market needs and trends from customers. Work closely with Finance Manager to improve payment terms from all suppliers and manage cash flow via stock control. Provide monthly purchasing projections to Procurement Director and Finance Director. Raising and placing of P/O's with suppliers.Required Skills A minimum of 5 years in a similar role Recent experience in international purchasing A comprehensive understanding of shipping and supply chain process and terminology The necessary skills and experience to lead and develop a small team of colleagues An ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders An energetic and ambitious self–starter, with a proven track record of delivering on KPIs Bi–lingual or multi–lingual would be an advantage Experience of Sicon and Sage systemsBenefits 25 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays. 35 hour working week – Flexible.
