Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are proud to be working exclusively, once again, with one of our key clients based in Huddersfield

They are looking for a Purchasing Manager to head up a growing team and take full responsibility for the forecasting and planning of purchasing requirements as well as manage processes and transactions for the business in line with S&OP process.

GBP45,000 - GBP50,000 per annum (dependant on experience)

Responsibilities of the Purchasing Manager:

Creating and implementing best practice Procurement and Supply Chain vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performanceContributing to new business initiatives and projects and reviewing the impact on textile manufacturing activitiesDeveloping clear accountability for raw material, yarn, consumables, and external manufacturing spend combined with a strategy to manage expenditureSupporting the development of a unified procurement strategy for all direct and indirect spend category and build alignment across the business to support executionLeading the execution of supply chain strategies and plansOverall ownership of the supplier management processMonitoring and proactively addressing performance and financial metricsIdentifying business improvement opportunities within the organisationImplementing and managing KPIs for each area of responsibilityManaging and coaching a high-performing team that meets agreed objectives and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvementsDeveloping a strong sense of cooperation and teamwork with a focus on common business goals and KPIsDeveloping and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance Key Skills & Experience:

Background in manufacturing/engineeringCIPS, or a degree in business, supply chain, or related fields and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience idealStrong Excel and MRP/ERP skillsProven experience of Team managementProven experience of developing supplier relationships, managing vendor performance and successful negotiations internationally A full job description is available.
