MacKenzie King are delighted to be supporting a nationwide specialist retailer in recruiting a Purchase Ledger Administrator to join their growing team based in Woolpit. The role of Purchase Ledger Administrator will work to support the whole team with a variety of responsibilities, with a main focus on Purchase Ledger invoicing. This is a fantastic opportunity for you if you have a proven track record in purchase ledger or if you have strong administration skills and are motivated to kick start your career in accounts. As a Purchase Ledger Administrator, you will work closely with a number of different areas in the department so that you can provide holiday and sickness cover as well as support during busy periods. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and reconciling accounts, processing payments to external partners and maintaining updated records of invoices and receipts. To ensure we process all financial transactions accurately and on time.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Manage obligations to suppliers, customers, and third-party vendorsProcess bank depositsReconcile financial statementsPrepare, send, and store invoicesCredit control - contact clients and send reminders to ensure timely paymentsIdentify and address discrepanciesReport on the status of accounts payable and receivableUpdate internal accounting databases and spreadsheetsDealing with customers' requests for POD'sLiaising with other departments and depotsProviding support for purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit controlReconciling HMRC records for importsMaintaining monthly records for rebatesPreparing accruals on a monthly basis for external accountantPayroll records - keeping to deadlinesProviding back up for holiday cover within the teamAssisting with month end proceduresSupporting other departments if and when requiredAny other administrative or accounts procedures as required Key Skills & Attributes:
