Public Lawyer - Long-term Contract

A new role has opened within Central Government in London for experienced Solicitors, Barristers, or Chartered Legal Executives. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to obtain and develop experience in working at the heart of a major Public Inquiry.

This is a 2 year contract, which is the longest a contractor role could be. This will offer significant stability through the current market. The role requires you to be five days on-site at the office in London.

They are looking for a highly experienced lawyer to work on a major Public Inquiry. The ideal candidate must be qualified to practise as a Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive in England and Wales, and they must have completed a training contract/pupillage/qualifying employment, or have been exempted from this by the Law Society, the Bar Council or CILEx.

Responsibilities:

Handle complex, large-scale projects

Manage document-heavy review processes

Give clear and detailed instructions to witnesses

Manage and co-ordinate hearings

Requirements:

Significant legal knowledge gained through qualification

Computer literate

Proven leadership skills
