Position: Public Fundraising Manager

Location: Remote, UK (Occasional travel)

Salary: GBP42,000 per annum

Hours: Full–time (37 hours per week)

The charity has just approved our Engagement Strategy for the next three years and it involves a significant investment in the fundraising team. For our first new role in the team, we are looking for an excellent fundraising manager to develop and grow our public fundraising income streams, including Individual Giving, Legacies and Community Engagement. This is a really exciting time to join a growing team.

You will be responsible for leading public fundraising at the organisation, which includes recruiting and managing a new team of 2–3 specialist fundraising officers. You will oversee the development of excellent stewardship journeys which engage supporters and inspire them to continue supporting the organisation.

About you:

You should be comfortable navigating a range of direct marketing channels. You must have strong digital skills and a creative approach to engagement–led fundraising. We are looking for someone who can bring new bold ideas and get stuck into delivering them!

We are looking for someone who is an excellent relationship manager, who can set up new fundraising products and initiatives and manage and inspire the public fundraising team to deliver them.

They are looking for people with:

Experience in developing, delivering and promoting high–quality stewardship practices and activitiesSubstantial experience in engaging and retaining new supporters across direct marketing channelsTrack record of demonstrating initiative and creativity to achieve desired outcomesExperience in developing and launching new fundraising innovationsExcellent relationship building skillsAbility to work on own initiative and within a teamKnowledge of fundraising regulations, GDPR and other legislation They will offer full BSL training.

You will receive an in–depth induction to give you insight into their charity and what they do, and how you will be able to help them deliver its mission.

A high proportion of your work will be performed from home. Our team is spread out across the UK, so we welcome your application – wherever you are based. You will be required to attend meetings and events outside of your home as required. These are generally once every one to two months.
