Due to recent wins, we are recruiting in Glasgow or Birmingham for numerous Protection & Control Engineers.

You will be accountable for the following tasks including but not limited to:

Carrying out detail design works including the protection and control aspects of different projects

- The work includes

- SLD,

- KLD,

- schematics,

- wiring diagrams

- functional specifications,

- setting reports,

- coordination and discrimination studies,

- telecom,

- network architecture,

- SCS,

- cable sizing and voltage drop,

- LVAC and LVDC load calculations and sizing,

- technical specification for P&C equipment,

- battery and UPS systems.

Carry out CDAE for P&C discipline

Carry out P&C Design Assurance activities

Ability to attend and chair the design review and Hazard review meetings and reviewing P&C design packages as required.

Attending site visits, FAT and SAT as required.

You'll need to have:

HND or Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience.

Proven extensive experience in P&C design of substations in UK (NG and/or SSE/SPEN).

Good knowledge of electrical codes and standards

- Full UK Driving Licence.
