The basics:

Role: Proposals Engineer precision engineering and fabrication department

Location: Alfreton

Salary: GBP43000 to GBP47000 DOE

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm and Fridays 7:30am-2pm

Contracted hours: 40 per week

Holidays and Benefits: 33 days holiday, Xmas shut down, 7.5% pension, x4 salary death in service.

Overview:

Working for a first class precision engineering business we now require a proposals engineer to join the business.

Overview of duties

Responsibility for the company s tenders within our ERP system, maintaining good records on all tender opportunities and the status of them.

Ensure Customer expectations are met through timely and accurate completion of quotations

Regularly review that the quote meets the customers requirements and follow up proposals in order to turn into orders and sales for the business

Responsible for following the company s contract review process, maintaining good records to the requirements of the QMS

Development of long term relationships with the customers

Ensure that post order completion, customers are satisfied and any lesson learnt are shared internally.

The ideal candidate / Proposals Engineer may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

Due to the nature of the work and security level of the projects you must be a British National.

HNC educated in a mechanical engineering discipline

Experienced in creating quotations and estimates within a machining and fabrication environment.

Ability to understand engineering drawings

Competent with ERP systems

Excellent communication and customer focused skills

Competent working with MS office packages cush as Word and Excel.

Commutable from, Alfreton, Chesterfield, Derby, Nottingham and surrounding areas.
