Role Outline
A leading Cambridge–based property agency is looking for a motivated, hardworking and highly organised individual to join its lettings & property management team.
The successful candidate will be supported by a highly experienced team, and the company will also provide comprehensive training and ongoing mentoring.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a full–time role (including 1 Saturday per month)
Key Duties
Manage the property portfolio in order to maximise office incomeManage and monitor all property maintenance issues, liaising with Tenants and LandlordsBook inventories, routine gas safety inspections and energy performance assessmentsTake responsibility for ensuring that all managed properties comply with current legislationArrange and carry out routine property inspections, reporting findings to the Landlord and arranging any remedial worksManage all tenancy renewal negotiations and issue renewal tenancy agreementsResolving any complaints from Landlords or TenantsAssessing any potential end of tenancy deposit deductions using the inventory check out reportChasing any overdue rental payments, and serving any related notices to tenantsActing as main point of contact for landlord clients during tenanciesEnsure all data is entered correctly into the Property Management system and kept up to dateNotify utility companies of all new tenants and change of occupantsMonitor contractors' performance and approve invoices received for payment by the accounts departmentArrange repairs in order of priority and in accordance with terms of business and ensure strong and prompt communication with landlords is maintained throughout the processManage the property diary system to ensure all tasks are completed within required timescalesAssist the team in covering any overflow business with regards to call handling, viewings, booking appointments with new landlords etc. Skills & Experience
Previous experience working in a lettings, estate agency, estate management or facilities management roleA polite, friendly and professional telephone mannerExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalA strong work ethicClose attention to detailThe ability to prioritise activities and tasks in a fast–moving and busy office To Apply
