Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We're offering hybrid and flexible arrangements with a requirement to attend site 3 days per week as a minimum
Salary: 56,667 plus dependent on skills and experience with executive car allowance on top
What you'll be doing:
You'll assume the lead role in understanding, influencing and shaping the programme delivery and business requirements to develop a contracting strategy / solution for the remainder of the Dreadnought ProgrammeBe responsible for managing, developing and maintaining strong peer relationships with internal customers and other key influencers, including but not limited to the Contract Management, Programme Delivery, Finance, Commercial and Estimating teams to develop a fit for purpose contracting solution for the remainder of the Dreadnought programmeFoster effective joint working at an enterprise level between the customer, including the Dreadnought Alliance and Submarines Delivery Agency to align on the future contracting solutionYou'll ensure the compliance with internal and external governance and regulatory requirements, including Lifecycle Management and the Single Source Contracting RegulationsWork closely with the Project Manager to ensure a full alignment between campaign activities and strategic win themes to the intended contracting solutionYou'll be required to provide leadership support and ensure the alignment with enterprise level initiatives that enable future programme and contract delivery, including ensuring coherency to the wider Submarines Portfolio Acquisition activities
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
You'll be an experienced professional with an extensive knowledge of Project Management (tools, techniques, practices)Be able to resolve project-related problems that do not have routine solutions, but the norm is to follow established proceduresYou'll have a good understanding of the Business environment for your own project and teamWe'd like you to be a recognised as a Project Management practitionerBe able to demonstrate a good awareness of commercial practices within own project areaHave developed communication and diplomacy skills. Be able to persuade and influence internal & external stakeholdersDesirable:
Knowledge of the Ministry Of Defence's Approval system would be beneficial
