We are looking for a Project Manager to focus on a delivering a large scale capital design and build project ( 250m+). The focus will initially be on design aspects, moving on to the construction, and beyond. The successful candidate with have experience in managing construction projects through the project lifecycle. Project management experience across any construction sector will be considered although experience in delivery of manufacturing and production facilities would be advantageous. This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission as we deliver a cornerstone of the UK's national security.
Location: We are located in Berkshire - between Reading, Basingstoke, and Newbury.
Salary: From 45,110 depending on experience and suitability.

Whilst not to be considered a check list, candidates should be able to demonstrate some of the following:
Evidence of project management competence e.g. APM qualifications or equivalent experience.Demonstrated experience in capital construction with an understanding of CDM (Construction Design Management) regulations and NEC4 contract management.Experience to manage projects through RIBA lifecycle and the associated governance, including stage gate approvals, specifically gates 2-5.Ability to lead and initiate risk techniques to manage complex project risks and interdependencies with efficient mitigation and contingency plans.Ability to be a proactive role model who shares expertise through coaching, mentoring, and developing others in all aspects of project management such as leadership, methodology, tools, and people skills.Experience in managing multiple and/or complex, high value, cross-functional projects.Skills to create and update all project documentation, including project management plans and supporting risks, assumptions, actions, issues & dependencies.Experienced application of project management tools and techniques for budgeting, change management, supply chain, and project goal setting.Ability to effectively prioritise workload, resources, and deadlines within high pressure complex environments.A proven record to drive project deliverables forward through the establishment and leadership of a high performing and successful integrated project organisation.Robust stakeholder management skills and natural ability to build and maintain customer relationships.Demonstrable application of methods to track project deliverables including implementing key performance indicators and producing project progress reports.Ability to solve problems, with proven delivery of results through creative solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams.Desire for continuous improvement through evaluation of both successes and failures.Dynamic and supportive approach to team management, encouraging and empowering team members to quickly adapt and respond to change and to adopt the company's vision.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage projects with focus on Governance (compliance and reporting).Management of project resources (people, money).Lead the planning of the task/project or function.Manage work as defined in the Work Authorisation Document (WAD).Lead, support, and initiate change against the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB).Lead, initiate and perform risk and opportunity identification and subsequent actions.The Company may require you to fulfil any other reasonable duties aligned to your position from time to time in line with business needs.
All candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role. It can take several months for clearance to come through.
The successful candidate is required to carry out all their duties from a UK location and cannot do so from an overseas location at any time.
