Musk Process Services is part of the Edwin James Group, a leading independently owned property and infrastructure support services company delivering integrated building and facilities management services.

Our team of over 1000 people works for and with a diverse client base across diverse sectors including Government and private programs. Our goal is to be known as a straightforward, no-nonsense operation that is easy to understand, and easy to work with.

We are now looking to recruit a Project Engineer to Join our team. The primary purpose of this role will be to mange and deliver projects, foresee/predict risks and problems and to plan, organise and control activities so that projects are completed successfully delivering a consistent approach to customer service. This Process starts from the point of initial enquiry through the definition and scoping phases through receipt of clients orders and delivery of project deliverables ensuring the team is empowered with clear objectives which have alignment with the client strategic aims and KPI's.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will include a variety of tasks, including

Ensure work is managed and executed in a controlled, planned fashion with robust project plans, procedures and processes in place for all activities. Regularly review processes to ensure best in class and fit for purpose. Ensure compliance with safe systems of work for all activities undertaken and ensure compliance by the whole team. Regularly review processes to ensure best in class and fit for purpose and ensure personnel allocated to the project are adequately trained to carry out their nominated functions correctly and in a safe manner. Lead the delivery of frequent, clear and visible communication to your team including any alliance partners or third party suppliers. Implement benchmarking and performance measurement across the team and deliver improvement in HSE, quality and re-work, cost, productivity, resource utilisation and effectiveness. Ensure performance of teams is open and visible and plans are in place to drive all team performance to the highest standard. Challenge the norm and reduce overall cost of the service. Lead, develop and motivate the site based teams. Ensure all your team have a performance and appraisal process in place including an annual review of performance, behaviours, skills, and development. Manage sub-contract resources and suppliers as required. All work must be executed in accordance with customer standards, regulatory requirements, and appropriate legislation. Frequent auditing and surveillance of team performance to ensure the highest standards of compliance are achieved. Lead this process and put improvement actions in place where appropriate. Contribute actively to the overall management of the company. Generate and maintain a culture of continuous improvement. Take total accountabilities for all services delivered to each particular customer including tendering, the winning work process and strategic development. Deliver against key contract measures consistently e.g., KPI s.

TRAINING / Qualificatons

Ability to estimate from tenders and prepare quotations A successful track record in Hands on Project Management demonstrating an ability to make commercially realistic decisions which have a positive impact on the overall business. Evidence of achieving customer satisfaction At least 5+ years Line Management experience in a customer facing role within the food industries handling major fixed price contracts in excess of GBP2m. Valid Safety Passport HNC/D business related qualification or equivalent. Excellent negotiation skills with an ability to absorb and assess complex information quickly whilst remaining calm under pressure. Understands the strategic implications to the business and has experience of strategic planning. Evidence of successful change and risk management. Demonstrates an advanced ability in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook as well as electronic project management tools. Understanding of process systems.

COMPETENCIES

Degree in a mechanical or production engineering discipline qualified. Chartered membership of relevant professional body. A full understanding of the business environment and commercial context the company operates in. Experienced in sub-contractor management. Be able to use Acad 2D and 3D.
