Job Role: Project Engineer

Job Type: Full Time/ Perm– Mon–Fri Day Shifts

Salary: GBP50,000 –GBP55,000 (Dependent on skills and experience)

KAP Technical are working with a Market leader in Food Processing Equipment for the convenience/ready meals food sector.

The successful candidate will have a sound engineering knowledge.

What will you be doing

Taking ownership of contracts from order receipt and sales handover to successful project installation and handover.Maintaining close communication with clients and internal departments to ensure project details and timelines are understood.Producing necessary project documentation, including project numbers, scope of supply, timing plan, P&ID, and provisional layout drawings.Identifying standard and non–standard equipment needed for the project and obtaining quotes for non–standard items and third–party equipment.Communicating and agreeing on project milestones with the client and internal teams.Tracking and meeting project and financial milestones, taking necessary actions to keep the project on track.Handling project scope changes and coordinating with the sales team for additional cost quotations.Ensuring the project is run within the budget and making financially aware design and procurement decisions.Arranging validation tests with the client and managing any scope changes resulting from these tests.Organizing equipment packing, shipping, and installation at the customer's site, including managing subcontractors if necessary.Providing necessary training and documentation handover to the client. Requirements

Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, steam services, fluid mechanics, and a basic understanding of electrical control systems is beneficial.Proficiency in using AutoCAD LT to create basic 2D equipment layout and instrumentation drawings for client presentations.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Commercial awareness to identify project variations.Understanding of relevant health and safety legislation related to industrial machinery equipment and installations.A valid UK driving license.
