In a nutshell

Our client is a leader in manufacturing bespoke commercial equipment and solutions to businesses across the UK and overseas. They are the leaders in product innovation, and design concepts through to completion all on one site.

Working within an established team you will play a pivotal role in providing project and technical support to their manufacturing processes and management teams throughout the company. You will undertake manufacturing investigations with the aim of driving improvement and resolving complex manufacturing issues.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment spearheading projects, having exposure to lean implementation, continuous improvement, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, VSM and other lean tools. You will be the lynchpin between all key internal stakeholders from design to operations, manufacturing and production.

What's involved for the Project Engineer

Directly control all manufacturing projects from concept to completionAdhere to and enforce H&S, risk assessments and COSHH management for projectsBe the Ambassador for Lean ManufacturingPromote and lead best practices within manufacturing processLead factory design flow improvements and change projectsInvestigate operational issuesSupport and drive the Kaizen culture with the training and development of others involved in the projectUse project management toolsInterpret CAD or Solidwork drawingsCollaborate with design and development engineering to ensure designs are suitable for a lean manufacturing environment What you'll need
