Rate: 37.79 per hour umbrella

Overview:

Would you like to work on complex and technically challenging projects within the Europe and International Air Sector of BAE Systems? We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Lead Project Controller at our Warton site in Lancashire. This role also offers the opportunity for hybrid working.You will be part of a team of professionals using world-class project control techniques, providing expertise to support the Project Managers in the delivery of large, high value, technically complex and strategically important programmes.

Key Deliverables:

Reporting to the contract teamsEstablishing and managing the project schedulesTracking spend and controlling project costsImplementing and utilising Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologieSupporting the identification and management of risks and opportunitiesAnalysing project information to enable early identification of problems and then implementing mitigation actionsDriving ownership and managing change of the work scope tasks throughout the project team

Key Skills / Experience:

Operated a project control system to define progress and identify programme performance issuesExperience creating and maintaining project schedules using toolsets such as MSP, Open Plan or P6Experience applying Earned Value Management techniquesDemonstrable experience of risk, opportunity and change managementStrong analytical and reporting skills to enable key decisions to be made effectivelyExcellent communication skills and proven experience of developing and maintaining excellent stakeholder relations
