Professional Standards Manager

We re looking for a Professional Standards Manager to support the Complaints and Conduct Manager for the leading body of education, training and accreditation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors.

Position: Professional Standards Manager

Location: London

Hours: Full and part-time considered

Contract: Permanent

Salary: GBP48,108 (FTE)

Closing date: 3rd January 2024

Interview dates: January 2024

About the role:

The Professional Standards Managers are responsible for the day-to-day management of investigations and adjudication on concerns and complaints against registered members, in accordance with the organisations Complaints and Conduct Process (CCP).

Key responsibilities will include:

Complaints handlingStrategic planning and developmentProfessional Conduct CommitteeAdjudication hearingsCommunication and representation

About you:

Experience of complex complaints handling in a professional body or a regulated environment.Experience of undertaking consultations, writing briefings, and carrying out policy research.Well-developed IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.Proven ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.Good understanding of project work with excellent organisational skillsAbility to be a positive advocate for the organisation in external situations.Ability to read and critically analyse information at short notice.

As part of their commitment to protecting the public, the organisation work to improve access to psychotherapy and psychotherapeutic counselling, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against members.

You may also have experience in areas such as: Professional Standards Manager, Standards Manager, Professional Standards, Professional Standards Lead, Complaints, Policy and Standards Manager, Accreditation Manager, Accreditation and Standards Manager.
