Hughes have over 50 years' experience manufacturing industrial showers and eyewashes to suit all environments.

About the Production Technician role:
As a Production Technician, you will be a part of the Production team who manufacture lifesaving safety equipment. You will be hands on building sub-assemblies and final products to drawings and customer specifications, to the highest quality across a wide variety of product ranges, providing bespoke solutions across a wider range of industries including, water utilities, oil and gas, offshore and pharmaceutical.Key Responsibilities:
Follow drawings, customer specifications, standard operating procedures, works orders and bill of materials to build sub-assemblies and products to the highest quality whilst working in a safe manner at all times.Test sub-assemblies and products to ensure all components pass quality inspection. Identify and resolve any technical problems arising in the assembly of components and products with the support of your line manager.Complete all required Production sign off documentation.Ensure a continued awareness of the Production Schedule to meet strict deadlines.Maintain a clean, tidy and organised workspace and to ensure a clean readily workable area ready for production the following day.Support the wider Production team to meet departmental goals, including on time delivery. Education, experience and skills:
A basic secondary education. Electrical and/or mechanical qualification is an advantage.2 years' experience as an Assembler, Production Technician, Manufacturing Technician or similar role is preferred but not essentialAbility to read and understand production drawings.Ability to use hand tools and battery-operated equipmentAble to follow instructionElectrical and/or mechanical qualification is an advantage.
