Nicholas Associates are delighted to be recruiting for a Production Planner. Providing real time information to optimise decision making at all levels of the business while building positive relationships.
THE JOB:
Develop, maintain and review the Master Production Schedules to meet customers orders, provide short- and long-term forecasts to ensure on-time delivery and efficient resource utilisation. Lead the departmental continuous improvement projects, identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives within the planning function. Ensure that production plans adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements, working closely with the Quality Assurance team. Analyse production data and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of production plans and make data driven decisions. Lead the Sales, Inventory, Operations and Planning (SIOP) process ensuring a collaborative approach is adopted to align production plans with sales forecasts and the overall business goals. Act as a liaison between various departments in the business including Production, Supply Chain and Business Development to coordinate and communicate changes in production schedules and priorities. Ability to communicate throughout all levels of the business including stakeholders when required. WIP/inventory control. Monitor and achieving KPI s and PI s. Daily liaison with production departments to ensure plan is maintained or issues are reported and acted on appropriately. Management and expediting of orders from order receipt to despatch, including communication with NPI teams and processes prior to production.
THE PERSON:
Proven experience in Production Planning and SIOP in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience working with KPI s and KPI reporting. Previous experience working within an Aerospace Environment and Planning department. CIPM (Certified in Production and Planning or Inventory Management) Qualified to degree level in an associated subject. Ability to be innovative, resilient, and assertive. Ability to spot changes, promotes and embraces new challenges. The ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and deliver results to a defined deadline.
