Job Title: Production Operative

Location: Helsby

Salary: 10.57 Per Hour (Paid Weekly) Plus Shift allowance

(Rising after a successful Probationary Period)

Working Hours: 37.5 hours Per week on a rotating shift pattern of 1 week Monday to Friday 06.00 - 4.00, 1 week of 14.00 - 22.00 followed by a Sunday to Thursday 22.00 - 06.00

About the Role:

Reporting to the production manager you will contribute to the production of the highest quality heating cables in a timely manner in accordance with SOP'S (standard Operating Procedures).

Operating task specific machinery, a variety of extrusion machines, manually assembling, as well as using hand tools to complete production. Reporting any deviations to the production Leader immediately.

There will be lots of development opportunity as we look to create a multi skilled team where you will be trained on various machines and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating Cable manufacturing equipment in line with process specificationsAdhering to the production schedule and accurately reporting any updates or delays to the stream leaderTest and inspect products to ensure they meet required standardsFocus on scrap reductionAssist In the maintenance and upkeep of tools and equipmentAbout you:

Previous experience in a production/assembly background would be advantageous (however not essential)Experience of SAP / Microsoft Nav / Epicor or similar EPR/MRP systems would be preferable (but not essential)A keen interest in Engineering and manufacturing operation and MaintenanceComputer/IT Literate with good understanding of Word, Outlook, databases etcAbout us:
