Production Director - Agricultural

We are working with a growing company who specialises in the production and processing of high quality certified seed, based in central Scotland.
We are searching for an experienced Production Director with an agricultural background used to working within fast moving environments.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Take responsibility for the production of over 170Ha of high-grade seed potatoes annually.
Renting land, planting, rogueing, crop protection, agronomy, harvesting, storage and grading.
Supported by the Group Managing Director, you will work in the most cost-effective way to meet and improve the targets and objectives.
Support the daily management of the team to prioritize work and achieve goals.
Work within the team to ensure the smooth running of the production facilities to meet the daily plan requirements in line with agreed specifications and quality standards.
Hold regular communications with other Team Leaders to ensure plan adherence and customer advice.
The post holder is required to build and maintain excellent working relationships with the Operations & Production teams
You will also be hands-on when required, supporting your team to ensure that orders are fulfilled on time in full.
Our ideal candidate
Previous experience in a similar role, ideally bringing a range of practical farming skills
Proven ability to lead and motivate a production team in a positive manner.
Ability to monitor production output, make changes where needed and meet identified KPI's.
Excellent communication skills
