Job Title: Production Assembly Operative

A permanent position for a Production Assembly Operative has arisen at our busy facilities based in Kitts Green, Birmingham. Could lead to permanent employment.

Location: Birmingham, B33

Job Type: Fixed Term Contract (6 months)

Contracted Hours: Monday - Friday 8AM - 4PM, 37.5hrs per week. Working overtime as and when required

Salary: 10.50 per hour. Hourly rate may increase after the trial period and full training, depending on the skills learned and developed. Overtime rate will be at a time and a half the basic hourly rate

Duties and Responsibilities:

Mechanical assembly of our environmental security enclosure product range, with extensive use of a variety of hand/power tools, to excellent quality standardsElectrical assembly and wiring of products to excellent quality standardsElectrical testing of product rangeAbility to interpret works orders and accurately complete details of product builds/packaging dimensionsEnsuring assembly times and production priorities are achieved. Some lifting maybe requiredAdherence to good working practices, quality standards, health & safety rules and company proceduresMaintain excellent order of work area and general HousekeepingEssential Skills:

Able to learn various assembly work quickly and easilyAbility to work on your own and as part of a teamGood manual dexterity to handle different componentsFlexible and enthusiastic approach to deal with varying tasks and changing prioritiesA team player with high personal standards and a positive attitudeMeticulous attention to detailNumeracy and literacyGood communication skillsExcellent housekeepingMechanical assemblyWiring of electrical componentsKnowledge and experience in wiring of electrical components is desirable but not essential as full training is provided.
