ARE YOU A PRODUCT MANAGER OR PROJECT MANAGER WITH A STRONG BACKGROUND IN PLASTICS MANUFACTURING?
Product Manager/Project Manager required for a well–established plastics manufacturer who are currently in an exciting phase of growth. They offer a varied and autonomous role with significant career development opportunities.
The role will suit candidates from the plastics manufacturing industry with a sound understanding of plastic manufacturing processes and procedures, such as injection moulding and extrusion. The successful candidate will come from a production management, product management, project management, specification role or similar with strong knowledge of costings, quotations, lead times, manufacturing capability and an acute commercial acumen for the plastics industry.
The role will be to act as a lead and a conduit between all departments to see projects through to completion on time and on budget to the customers' requirements. This will mean ensuring all customer enquiries are channelled to the right teams and acted upon, all quotations are full and correct meeting the customers standards whilst maintaining all feasibility with regards to tooling availability, tooling costs and production planning. This will involve working on special bespoke projects where the holder of this post will have a high degree of autonomy over project lifecycle from concept to delivery.

Product/Project Manager:
Must be from the plastics manufacturing industry
Have broad cross section knowledge of plastics manufacturing machinery and processes
Strong commercial awareness of project costings and manufacturing capability including tooling availability and costings
Knowledge of customer quotations and lead time feasibility within production planning for the business.
Competent project management capability with a demonstrable high level of communication and organisation skills.
Ability to manage customer relationships, manage expectations and ensure satisfaction across full product lifecycle.
