Cedar are exclusively supporting UK Shared Business Services (UK SBS) who are going through a period of growth and as a result are looking to hire 7 x Procurement Specialists and 3 x Procurement Managers to join their successful Procurement Team.
These roles are all permanent job opportunities with a salary of up to 31,797 on offer for the Procurement Specialist position and a salary of up to 40,175 on offer for the Procurement Manager position. All the roles will also offer 28 Days Annual Leave (plus Bank Holidays), CIPS Funding (on completion of your probation period) and an Employer Pension Contribution of 26%. These roles offer flexible hybrid working and UK SBS are open to hiring people based anywhere in the UK, as the role will be mainly Home Based, but you will be required to go to one of UK SBS offices in either Swindon (Head Office), Newport or Billingham (whichever is closest to you) for key meetings/requirements.

ABOUT THE PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST ROLE:
Reporting into the Procurement Manager, the Procurement Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that the defined best practice procurement processes and policies are followed to deliver maximum use of UK SBS systems and processes and optimise savings opportunities. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of procurement initiatives sourcing a range of products/services and that you help develop close co-operative relationships with internal partners to leverage expertise, understand local market conditions, support their specific aims and objectives, and deliver value adding services and agreements. You will also support the preparation of pre-tender and tender documents, following this through the full procurement sourcing life cycle and also support the Category Manager with any ad-hoc and strategic activities.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Experience preparing and/or managing tenders and contracts Experience using eProcurement/eSourcing tools Experience supporting a Category/Procurement Managers (or similar role) in the delivery of best practice procurement and achieving value for moneyKnowledge and experience of procurement processes in the Public Sector would be advantageousExperience of working in a large dispersed organisation and/or shared services environment would be advantageous Member of or working towards Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) would be advantageous
