Single Homeless Project has a new opportunity for a Procurement Officer to join and work in our team based in Lambeth. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis working 37.5 hours and in return, you will receive a starting at GBP28,897.95 and rising incrementally to GBP31,646.66 per annum.

About the Procurement Officer role:

As the Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining new links with landlords and housing providers in the private rented sector to secure suitable move on accommodation for our clients. The role will act as a point of contact to landlords and maintain contact with tenants once they have moved into their accommodation.

Our PRS Resettlement Service in Lambeth supports vulnerable individuals with the aim of addressing their support needs and tackling the obstacles preventing them from moving on to settled accommodation.

Skills and experience we're looking for in our Procurement Officer:

Ability to source and secure PRS accommodation on behalf of the service Excellent networking skills and ability to liaise with a wide range of people, housing and service providers Strong negotiation skills to build and maintain new links with landlords and managing agents Understanding of the motivating drivers of landlords and the ability to balance these against the service's and clients needs Strong team-working and interpersonal skills, maintaining a collaborative approach to delivering service objectives across the wider Lambeth team. Understanding of the welfare benefits system and how it might impact on our clients and their housing options Awareness of relevant health and safety and building control regulations Our attractive benefits package includes:
