Our partner are a global procurement organisation, with major buying power. This year alone they'll procure nearly GBP1.5bn worth of medical and health related products.

Upto GBP52k per annum DOE

25 days AL (plus the option to purchase more)

What's the role?

You'll lead a small team of staff to procure related products as part of a large procurement framework. Experience of the medical and health sector is helpful, but not essential. Those with ICT procurement experience are very desirable.

Ideally you will have had experience leading your own category, and can quickly learn new products. Negotiation with suppliers about both pipeline and price will be a key element in your success.

You will lead processes end to end for a number of products simultaneously. The ability to juggle multiple processes is essential.

You'll also be at a stage in your journey where you are ready for line management. Can you demonstrate the skills to be a coach, leader and mentor to other staff members?

Successful candidates will have been working in procurement for a number of years perhaps as a category lead, sourcing specialist or strategic buyer. Ideally you will have procured as part of a defined framework or within the public sector, but this is less important.
